Wales is a 'blueprint' for a Labour rule - Frankly Mr Starmer that is TERRIFYING! - Andrew RT Davies

Leader of the Opposition in Wales Andrew RT Davies gives his verdict on a Labour future
Keir Starmer has been careful to put forward very few policies to not upset the apple cart, so many voters do not know where he stands.
We know that Keir Starmer will say anything to get into power. He told Labour members he would abolish tuition fees when he was seeking election as Labour leader, but he ditched that pledge when it became convenient for him to do so.
So we have no idea what Keir Starmer believes.
But we do know that he has said Labour-run Wales is his “blueprint” for government.
If Labour’s record in Wales were to be replicated across the United Kingdom, we’d see 20mph zones imposed across the country. These have been roundly rejected by people in Wales, but Labour is ideologically committed to the war on motorists.
If Keir Starmer were to replicate Welsh Labour’s farming policies, we’d see tens of thousands of job losses in the agricultural sector thanks to barmy green funding schemes which effectively seize farmlands for tree planting.
And if Starmer was to follow the lead of Welsh Labour, far from removing illegal immigrants, he’d pay them £1,600 a month.
This is what is at risk if Labour were to get the keys to 10 Downing Street.
And in Wales, there is zero stability in government.
The Welsh Conservatives have tabled a motion of no confidence in First Minister Vaughan Gething.
Gething only took the top job back in March, but already he is fighting for his political life. His time at the helm has been characterised by headline after headline calling into question his judgement, his truthfulness and his transparency.
After taking £200,000 for his leadership campaign from a company owned by a man convicted of environmental offences, his judgement was called into question including by figures within his own Welsh Labour Government.
When it emerged that he had told Ministers he would delete messages during the pandemic to avoid them being available to the public, he gave several different explanations, leading to questions about his transparency.
And when he dramatically sacked one of his Ministers for leaking, the Minister he sacked strenuously denied it. Gething refused to publish the evidence, leading many to question his truthfulness.
Because of these questions, his government is completely stalled. He is unable to drive any improvements to Welsh public services, at a time when NHS waiting lists in Wales are at record levels, our educational outcomes are at record lows and our economy inactivity is soaring.
It is frankly terrifying that Keir Starmer considers this his “blueprint” for government. Indeed, at a time when the Labour leader is unwilling to properly outline what he would do if he won power, the Labour record in Wales serves as a stark warning to the rest of the UK of what a Labour government actually looks like.
