The treasury has revealed that migrant hotels will continue to receive millions of pounds in taxpayer funding.
Published from the Treasury's "Office for Value for Money" papers reveal that migrant hotels will continue blaming "global instability" with costs of £41,000 per migrant or an astonishing £5.5 million every day.
The Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer promised to end migrant hotels in the run up to the general election in July.
Currently, there are 8,000 asylum seekers living in hotels as the Home Office permanent secretary Matthew Rycroft has said his department's "overarching aim" is to "exit" hotels by the end of the Parliament.
Labour expects its commitment to building 1.5 million homes each year in England will wipe out demand for migrant hotels.
