Trump's momentum against Biden is still ramping up

Donald Trump is continuing to build up steam in a potential rematch against US President Joe Biden
When it comes to the next US Presidential election there's a lot of focus on legal battles and moves by officials outside of the policy debate that should not be central to any election campaign.
When it comes to Donald Trump, it seems some of his opponents in America are absolutely determined to try and stop US voters even getting the option of voting for him.
We've seen Maine's Secretary of State for example disqualify Trump from the state's ballot, a decision likely to end up in the US Supreme Court.
This legal warfare could well be helping to boost Trump's support - a voter backlash against a demented establishment campaign to stop Trump.
When it comes to the battleground states, polls consistently put Trump ahead of Biden in mostly if not all in head-to-head surveys.
There is now even more evidence of Trump gaining the upper hand against Joe Biden.
A USA Today/Suffolk University poll has found Biden now trailing Trump when it comes to Hispanic voters (34 per cent vs. 39 per cent).
When it comes to younger voters aged under 35, Trump now leads Biden by 37 per cent to 33 per cent.
That may come as shock to some in this country, but it demonstrates just how dire the situation now is for the current American President and the momentum Trump continues to build.
These latest figures represent drastic turnaround that shows large numbers of people who had previously backed Biden now abandoning him.
It will be fascinating to see whether Democrats seriously sit back and allow Biden to stand as their candidate again virtually without a challenge.
Such a decision will be questioned even more if the polls continue to swing in Trump's direction.
Right now it is increasingly clear that American voters would back Trump over Biden now. Though of course there is still some way to go.
