The Democrats have gotten themselves in a real pickle. The arrogance, confusion, and desperation that caused them to keep pushing Joe Biden until they realised he simply had to go, has left them in a terrible situation.

It has also left America and the free world with something of an existential threat. How in the world is someone in Joe Biden‘s condition, who cannot even run in the presidential election, going to run America until January for goodness sake?

The Dems are in a pure damage limitation posture at the present time. They can only swallow and deal with so much bad news at one time. But I predict that, once Joe‘s dropping out of the presidential race has been fully digested, they will also find a way to dump him as president and long before January.

It is unbelievable that leaders of the world and Americans will not exert so much pressure that they will have to get rid of him sooner rather than later.

This poses some interesting questions. The Republicans wanted Kamala Harris to remain as vice president, even if she became the presidential nominee at the Democratic National Convention because they didn’t want her to shine (if that were possible) as interim president and potentially hurt Trump‘s chances.

But, they really needed to put the needs of America and the world before the needs of their party, and, like the Dems, admit that this senile old man simply cannot run the country.

Well, all of a sudden everything seems to have changed. Kamala has now quickly received enough votes, and enough money, that she is clearly going to be the Dems’ candidate for president come the convention.

There will not now be any other contenders. And it is reported that there is now a whole new wave of enthusiasm for her all of a sudden, with millions climbing on board for her to be the first black woman and first Asian American president.

But, has anything really changed? Kamala began almost immediately with one of her typical blunders by refusing to attend Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress, like a petulant child, rather than a reasoned elder statesman.

How can any American president in waiting make their first foreign policy and diplomatic move to behave so stupidly and awkwardly as they take their first step onto the stage of international relations?

Whatever your view of Israel/Hamas/Gaza, someone who only hopes to be a head of state does not spit in the face of the leader of any sovereign nation, anywhere.

And, once again, we see how absolutely hopeless the presidential communications and strategy staff are in not advising her to refrain from this horrifically imbecilic step.

LATEST OPINION:

For the moment, it appears that the female, black, and Asian aspects are what is carrying Kamala forward on the wave of exuberance and not much else, as her abysmal record demonstrates.

This may or may not abate, because the great masses can get quite worked up over this sort of thing and carry on mindlessly and undiscerningly for ages.

There is only hope that she continues to make her usual stupid gaffes and people begin to lose confidence because she would, in my opinion, be even worse running the country than Joe Biden.

That has certainly been a pretty universal sentiment for months now, and even Obama and Biden wouldn’t endorse her, but the tsunami of excitement about these irrelevant gender and race factors seems to have overtaken everything else for the present.
