Another bunch of midweek games after the FA Cup 3rd Round that showed that there’s life in the old girl yet.
The tie of the round was probably Man Utd’s 10 man win on penalties which excited Eamonn H greatly and gave me a wry smile after Spurs scraped through at Tamworth.
It was great to have their manager Andy Peakes with us on Breakfast the day after the game and lovely to hear that enough money was made from the tie that he could now be appointed full time manager of the club. Just a shame for them that the FA in their wisdom decided to do away with 3rd Round replays which Tamworth had earned.
Arsenal will look to boost their title chances but face a tough match against local rivals Tottenham.
