GB News's Editorial Director says: 'We exist to stand up for the people of Britain, giving a voice to the many who can’t be heard above the hectoring noise of the establishment'

Imagine a world without GB News. Imagine, like George Bailey in the classic Christmas movie ‘It’s A Wonderful Life,’ that we’d ‘never been born.’

There’s plenty out there that would love it if this channel had never launched.

You can’t have missed them, they’ve spent three-and-a-half years seething and moaning at everything we do, on TV, radio and online.

Even in this season of goodwill to all men the sniping hasn’t stopped.

Last week it was the Muslim Council of Britain, backed by three faded stars from the establishment’s Department for The Out Of Touch Liberal Elite, who were wanting us to be shut down.

God only knows who will be coming for us next. The only thing certain is ‘they,’ whoever ‘they’ will be, WILL be coming for us.

It’s only ever a matter of time, but we are used to it. The joyful and triumphant festive message I have for them is this: We aren’t going away.

GB News is strong, and gets stronger by the day.

But what if, like George in ‘It’s A Wonderful Life,’ we had never been born?
Would our critics be right, and the world be better off?

In the film, the town of Bedford Falls is optimistic, hard-working, family-oriented, and values-driven.

With George continuing the good work of his father Peter at the Building and Loan, he unwittingly helps shape the town into a generous and congenial community where everyone supports each other in good times and bad.

Much to the frustration of greedy bank baron Henry F. Potter the town’s wholesome good nature mirrors that of George and his family.

But it is unrecognisable once we see how life would have been without George.
In the alternative timeline conjured up by George’s Guardian angel, the place is disturbingly different – Bedford Falls becoming Pottersville – a harsh, cruel town full of crooks, sleazy good-time guys and girls, dissolute drinking dens and slum housing.

Now, I’m not saying that without GB News the country would descend into a social and moral abyss.

After all, the last few governments before we launched had already done everything in their power to make that happen themselves.

But GB News - also optimistic, hard-working, family-oriented, and values-driven - does stand for something other news organisations don’t.

Our absence would certainly be felt for the worse.

We exist to stand up for the people of Britain, giving a voice to the many who can’t be heard above the hectoring noise of the establishment.

We exist to help people stand up to the ‘Mr Potters’ of this world, sinister forces who treat the population as he does; a ‘discontented, lazy, rabble’ to be taken for granted, exploited or ignored.

Indeed, GB News exists to represent those people who, as George says: ‘do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community.’

GB News is a community that grows by the day, growth driven by an audience that recognises us as truly being the People’s Channel.

A channel staffed by the people, for the people.

In the past three years, we have shone a light on communities and causes neglected for decades by the establishment media.

Desperate pensioners struggling without the Winter Fuel allowance, ‘Waspi’ women fighting for their rightful pensions, hospices battling for funding and farmers and their families struggling from dawn to dusk to put food on the nation’s tables have all been given a voice on GB News.

They, and others battling to have their say above the noisy prattle from Parliament, will continue to be platformed on GB News.

As we proudly say we are the fearless champion of Britain, its voices and its values.

Our Editorial Charter is at the core of everything we do - with the core principles being - 1 Quest for Truth, 2 Fearless Responsibility and 3 Service to Community.

Those principles power our journalism daily.

Since day one our unique brand of journalism has disrupted a bloated and blundering media and political establishment.

Without GB News the powerful and corrupt would breathe a huge sigh of relief.
We can’t give them that comfort, and that’s why GB News is here to stay.

2025 will see new causes, new challenges for us and the country. And you will have your say on them – on GB News.

The Mr Potters of this world will NOT win.

We can’t promise life will always be like the one enjoyed in Bedford Falls, but we can promise we will continue to fight for a better society. One in which we all pull together.

We will always be there at your side, whenever you need a friend.

As guardian angel Clarence Oddbody AS2 (Angel Second Class) said, “no man is a failure who has friends.”

And with GB News you’ve got one. You always will.
