But according to London’s idiot mayor, Sadiq Khan, this is all just “cultural and creative” high jinks.

He praised the three-day stab and crime fest saying: “Thank You everyone for keeping the carnival a safe and spectacular.”

What carnival is he talking about for God’s sake? The one we’re looking at has been carnage.

I wonder do the cops and emergency workers who’ve been hurt see it as safe and spectacular, or the five people who’ve been stabbed, or the family of the young mum currently fighting for her life?

Yes, I’ll bet they’re nursing their wounds thinking about the wonderful “fun day out” they had at the Carnival.

Do the hundreds of business owners who’ve had to board up their premises for three days to stop them being wrecked think the carnival is “safe and spectacular?”

Or the people who’ve had to move out of their homes because “fun-loving” carnival goers are queuing up to pee and defecate on their doorsteps.

Oh what joy cleaning all that up must be Mr Khan!!! .

The fact is if this carnival was a St George Day celebration with just a fraction of the crimes being committed at Notting Hill the riot police would have been sent in on day one and the event would have been shut down before you could say 'Far-right thugs.'

Ditto if it had happened at a Millwall match – the perpetrators would have been branded scum and slung in jail for a year,

And that’s not me saying that its former police chief inspector, Mike Neville, who says officers are reluctant to make arrests at Carnival. And we know why. It’s a matter of culture and skin colour. Police don’t want to be seen to aggravate the black community or insult them by arresting them for blatantly breaking the law.

I’m sorry but no fun day out involves stabbings, deaths and sexual assaults. No fun day out involves scores of police and emergency workers being hurt and humiliated by having half naked women’s bums twerking in their faces – a situation they have no choice but to tolerate.

So where are the 24 hour courts Starmer brought in for the riots? Where are the impassioned speeches from the government about not tolerating violence?

This carnival isn’t just a prime example of Two Tier policing. It’s worse. It’s racist policing because police are reluctant to come down hard on certain people because of the colour of their skin. How can that be fair or right?

If this was a predominantly white carnival the scenes we’ve witnessed over the weekend would not have been tolerated. No other event with this level of criminality would have been allowed to continue.

Yet, not only is the Carnival being allowed to happen, the crimes being committed there is being glossed over. Why hasn’t there been a bigger fuss about the fact that a 32-year-old Mum was stabbed in front of her child? People are barely talking about it and as one commentator put it “ the media is looking the other way.”

As are politicians who need to get real and honest about this carnival.It has to be moved and contained if its allowed to continue. And all carnivals and events – whatever their cultural roots - must be treated equally by the law.

Because Notting Hill is no longer just a fun day out. It’s not just a happy cultural celebration. For many it’s an excuse to get drugged up, stab people and commit crimes.

And having seen what’s happened this year people are no longer going to be fobbed out by the police’s feeble protestations that “it was largely peaceful.”

It’s not peaceful when people are being stabbed and coppers and emergency workers are being hurt.

For too long this carnival has been defined by ugly scenes of violence, criminal damage, drugs, even death yet still it goes on. Worse its celebrated as a cultural triumph.

Every year two million people flood onto the streets of Notting Hill and police have to flock from all over country to contain the chaos. And it costs millions – multi millions.

Why should taxpayers be expected to pay for that?

The police bill last year for overtime alone was more than £5.5m . And while all the cops are at the Festival crime everywhere else is rocketing because villains know that on carnival days they can do whatever the Hell they want because there’s no-one around to catch them.

Enough now! Because this carnival is about much more than just two- tier policing it’s about a two- tier government which has already made clear that one type of violence isn’t acceptable and another is.

It just all depends on what community you’re from!!
