Well there's not much of that happening.. How will this latest move smash them? It will only encourage them.

This was part of legislation, the illegal migration act, introduced by the Tories for good reason, and one of the only things they actually got done, which also meant that people who arrived here in this country illegally via dingy could almost never become UK citizens.

I think that’s fair enough, don’t you? Why should you be rewarded for breaking the rules. It will only encourage others to do the same...

By deterring people to come to this country via dingy, you save lives, instead of helping to line the pockets of the people smugglers.

An industry that is bankrupting this country as the British tax payer, already strapped for cash by this Labour government are forced to fork out more to house these new unwanted arrivals.

Chris Philp the shadow Home Secretary said the move was ‘total capitulation to people smugglers’ and would ‘make the uk the soft touch of Europe’.

Sure the Tories made a mess of legal migration letting almost a million in legitimately, more than this small island could cope with, but the illegal migration act was one good thing they actually did do. It didn’t go far enough in my view but having the power to clarify someone’s age and making it nigh on impossible for them to become a citizen of this country if they enter it illegally via dingy, is effectively a deterrent, why would you remove that? It makes no sense.

In the first half of last year more than 1300 migrants were caught pretending to be minors and when you consider that three quarters of underage illegal migrants are granted asylum compared to half of adults, you can see why it would be attractive to lie about your age having entered illegally. If you could get away with it why wouldn't an adult migrant try and pull a fast one?

All Other major European countries including France and Germany use medical tests to determine age scentifically, so why would this current government choose to remove this.
