OPINION: GB News commentator Carole Malone has hit out amid the Whatsapp Labour scandal

It came as no surprise to read the vile WhatsApp messages between a Government minister, a Labour MP and bunch of idiot councillors which have exposed them all.

They’ve confirmed what we all already knew - that it’s always been Labour that’s the true Nasty Party- the party that’s bitter and rotten. And what’s even clearer now is that Starmer’s Labour seems to hate and despise working people – the very people who elected them and who they purport to represent.

No-one in this Labour Government represents any working man or woman I know. It’s actually contemptuous of them, it sneers at them. It just saw them as the ladder to power and the minute it got that power it just kicked the ladder away and told the “oiks” to go fend for themselves.

It feels a bit like Marie Antoinette. The French Queen screamed “Let them eat cake” when told her starving peasant subjects had no bread which was obviously more expensive than cake. And what it showed was her complete obliviousness to the way working people lived and the struggles they face.

And THAT’S how it is today with Starmer’s rotten Labour party.

Just look at some of the messages exchanged between this bunch of toerags on this WhatsApp group who eight months ago were begging the people they’re now taking the mickey out of for their votes. And THIS is how they repay them.

First Andrew Gwynne , a health minister - who’s now been sacked - thought it would be great fun to wish death upon a woman pensioner who’d told him that even though she hadn’t voted for him she still wanted him to sort out her bin collections (which after all is his job) Gwynne’s suggested “fun” response to her on the What’s App group was: “F…k your bins. I’m re-elected without your vote - screw you. P.S. Hopefully you’ll have croaked it by the next election.”

Then this bunch of idiots (which included Burnley, MP Oliver Ryan, whose also now been suspended, and a bunch of Labour councillors) had a go at someone because his name sounded “too Jewish.”

They then poked fun at a local resident who was campaigning for more cycle lanes and one of the suggested responses to him was they hoped he’d get knocked down by a bin lorry.

They also sneered at black Labour politician Diane Abbott.

There’s so much more in these awful messages if you have the stomach to read them.

But what they show is the sneering contempt in which Labour politicians hold the people they were elected to represent. Because I don’t think for a minute this vile lot are the only culprits here. Don’t we see Labour’s disdain for working people in every new policy they introduce?

The party used to be the legitimate voice of the working man and woman in this country but it’s become clear they not only despise them and think they’re ridiculous but they treat them like they don’t matter.

Starmer’s Labour seems to hate pensioners, farmers and people who want to work for a living instead of languishing on benefits screaming about their mental health and it also seems to hate those struggling to make a success of their businesses.

It seems like they hate us all. We’d hoped this kind of political putridness within Labour had gone with Jeremy Corbyn. But it’s still there and Starmer is its new cheerleader just in a decent suit.

But what really sticks in the craw is Labour’s rank hypocrisy. We’re being led by a man who keeps ramming down our throats that he’s the moral titan of this nation and that his party is the true representation of human decency in politics, which after these WhatsApp messages now seems like a sick joke.

The party which has vowed to stamp out hate speech doesn’t just use it, it revels in it. ( read those WhatsApp messages.)

The party which is forever pushing diversity and equality seems to not have any respect for either as it mocks its own black female MP Diane Abbott and trashes other women in the party.

Under Corbyn, Labour was almost destroyed by rampant anti semitism. There was also John McDonnell talking of his lurid fantasies about killing Maggie Thatcher. There was Gordon Brown calling voter, Gillian Duffy, a “bigoted woman” because she’d dared to question him on immigration in 2010.

So Yes, the vileness has always been festering but for much of the time the party was in opposition and managed to get away with not imploding.

Not so now. Because these WhatsApp’s messages are a snapshot of what’s actually happening at Labour’s rotten heart and it IS ready to implode.

And Yes, while we should all be repulsed and disgusted by the behaviour of the people elected to look after us - we should also be very afraid!
