Pensioners best not have a BAD winter or Labour's OWN analysis could destroy Keir Starmer - Keith Bays

Over 10 million pensioners will be without the Winter Fuel Allowance this Christmas, which, according to Labour’s own research, could contribute to the deaths of thousands of pensioners - a disastrous outcome for Keir Starmer’s administration.
In 2017 Shadow Chancellor John McDonell published an analysis showing that almost 4,000 pensioners could die if the Conservatives means-tested the allowance, never mind take it away from 80 per cent of Britain’s pensioner population, which Labour plans to do.
I have no doubt that almost every journalist in the country will be monitoring the excess deaths this winter, and if pensioner deaths skyrocket the Prime Minister will come under immense pressure, something he may not be able to recover from.
If pensioners perish as a direct result of the Prime Minister and Labour's policy, it will be very difficult to shake off, not least because the potential link between losing the winter fuel payment and the death of pensioners was something recognised by Labour themselves whilst they were in opposition, not by mischievous journalists looking to have a pop at the government.
Indeed, John McDonell was quoted in 2017 as saying: “Removing the Winter Fuel Payment for millions of Pensioners could leave thousands of the most vulnerable at risk.”
The party may now be in government, which does not mean they can row back on their own words and analysis - this is in the public record and puts the Prime Minister and his administration in a potentially dire situation with the electorate.
Labour’s decision to remove the winter fuel allowance from 80 per cent of Britain’s pensioners will only save the exchequer around £1.3billion - £1.5billion.
For a Government to take such a risk with millions of people's lives after they have worked hard and paid into the system is shameful, negligent and something that could cause Labour damage for decades to come.
Starmer could be backed into a corner by his own party's analysis if too many pensioners die this winter, writes Keith Bays

Whoever made this dreadful calculation and advised Sir Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves that this is a good idea? This will do three things, it will cost votes, seats and most importantly people’s lives.
This Labour Government, who are meant to be there for the working class and vulnerable people, abandons them at the first opportunity it gets.
The party is choosing to abandon the people who need them the most by knowingly taking a vital payment away from people who cause some of their deaths.
