OPINION: Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage need to put their differences aside - It's in the national interest, writes GB News' Senior Producer Keith Bays

Since Labour took power, one thing is clear: they’re not capable of fixing broken Britain. Not even close.

Labour is out of ideas, out of creativity, and out of solutions. The Prime Minister and his cabinet are politically clueless. Just look at their disastrous decisions - slashing winter fuel payments for pensioners, hiking inheritance tax on family farms, and slapping VAT on private schools. They don’t have a clue.

Ideas, creativity, and solutions must come from the right once again. Britain naturally leans to the Right, and right-wing politicians must prove they have the vision and leadership to regain trust or win voters over for the first time.

In just over four years, a right-wing party must be ready to seize power and govern - Britain’s future depends on it.

Starmer still has plenty of time to commit what some would call treasonous acts, deliberately sabotaging the country and setting us back decades. If the Right returns to power, it must be ready to clean up the mess Left by a catalogue of socialist failures.

Reality check for both right-leaning parties.

Which party will rise to the challenge? Right now, there are more questions than answers. But one thing’s clear momentum is with Nigel Farage’s Reform UK. Their membership is surging, their poll numbers are climbing, and their rallies are packed.

Don’t believe it? Just turn on the TV or open a newspaper. While Labour and the Tories flounder, Reform UK is on the march. As Farage says, ‘something is happening’ - and he’s bang on. Politics is changing before our eyes.

But before anyone gets carried away, let me be clear: the Conservatives aren’t going anywhere. This party has stood strong for 122 years. Despite a rough 14 years in power, they still held onto 121 seats.

Now, with Kemi Badenoch at the helm, the Tories have every chance of a major comeback-especially with Labour’s disastrous performance and their war on pensioners, farmers, small businesses, and private schools, all key traditional Conservative voters.

My message to the other parties? Underestimate the Conservatives at your peril.

Does the Right unite?

This great country cannot afford to be shackled by Labour for the next ten or fifteen years. For the sake of Britain’s future, Reform UK and the Conservatives must make a pact at the next election and stop Labour in its tracks - and, if necessary, form a coalition government to keep the Left out for good.

Britain’s pensioners, who have worked hard and paid in all their lives, deserve dignity in retirement. They should never have to choose between heating their homes and putting food on the table.

Family farmers, the backbone of our food supply, must be able to pass their farms to the next generation without being forced to sell up after decades of hard work. This is Britain, not Zimbabwe!

Hardworking parents who sacrifice everything to give their children the best education shouldn’t be punished for sending them to private schools. Bridget Phillipson, are you listening? Not all parents are millionaires, most are not!

Meanwhile, small and medium-sized businesses - the backbone of our economy - are being taxed into oblivion. They need certainty, not socialist policies cooked up by Rachel from accounts.

So, here’s the message loud and clear: Farage, Badenoch - Britain needs you both. Look at the numbers before and after the next election. You’ll need each other to win power and end this socialist nightmare. In the national interest, come together and fight back!
