All have the same underlying theme, bringing the state into play in people’s family, religious and personal lives alongside a little dictat of what we should think and believe and the threat of punishment for those who don’t comply.

PALargely because they never got over the basics of democracy and that most people in Scotland rejected independence – ‘if only their faulty thinking and leaning could be reshaped for the future we would win’.
Dispiritingly, therefore there will be no change in any of this with the recycling of failed past SNP leader John Swinney.
He has of course, been in prominent roles throughout and has largely presided over all of that which has gone wrong already.
