I don't want UK migration to increase by 5 million - will any politician speak for me? - Kelvin MacKenzie

OPINION: GB News commentator Kelvin MacKenzie has questioned Britain's population explosion through mass immigration

It’s shocking news, but it’s announced by the Office of National Statistics as though it is something we should be proud of. The UK population is to grow, almost exclusively though net migration, by 4.9million people by 2032.

Almost as bad is the news that our populations has already passed France. In 2023 our number was 68.5million, exceeding France at 68.2million, - the first time since 1997 that Britain has done so.

The ONS forecast 9,914,000 will immigrate to the UK while almost 5million will leave. How on earth are we going to cope with thus huge increase? Where are the doctors, the teachers, to deal with this explosion? And what will happen to cohesion in our society?

Where are the politicians to speak for people like me who are not in favour of the kind of change that will be visited on our nation? There will be many reading this article who will be both appalled and frightened. Who can blame them?

I’m sure this number guarantees that Farage will be the largest party in 2029 with Labour being much the smaller of the majors. The question mark is over Kemi. Can she rise to the occasion. She hasn’t so far with the space being filled by the slightly more impressive Robert Jenrick.

What concerns me is that these are the official figures. What about the massive explosion in illegals. They haven’t been counted in. And it’s no good looking at politicians like Mayor Sadiq Khan to calm our nerves.

In a shocking phrase delivered as a pushback against President Trump’s crackdown on illegal migrants when the London Mayor said the capital would always be an open, diverse and welcoming city, and added; “This is your home, you are wanted here.”

Firstly, I contest they are wanted - our over-crowded country has had enough surely.

With a politician like Khan using a dangerous word ‘’wanted’’ it would give the impression that we had plenty of room on this island. Not only have we hardly room to breathe but we don’t even know how many illegals there are in our country.

There was a big hoo hah the other day when a piece of Thames Water research suggested that 1 in 12 (580,000) in London was an illegal. That will be a massive underestimate.

After all that figure was based on research carried out in 2017. That was eight years ago. The massive explosion which has changed our country forever had hardly begun.

Channel migration didn’t really start until 2020ish. And, in any event, the reality is most illegal migrants come in on visas as tourists, as students to study and very occasionally to work. They overstay their visas and then disappear into the system.

I saw some stats which indicated that the number of illegal migrants could be 150,000 a year. A bit if of good work by Lord Frost in The Telegraph shows Home Office figures - they don’t carry out the research anymore, a total disgrace - that in the four years before civil servants decided they had better things to do, that number was 63,000 a year.

That too will be tosh. After all, we thought there were only 3million EU citizens in the UK. That number turned out be 6million. So, the reality is that for London alone the number could be way in excess of a million illegals.

There is no incentive for these people to be decent citizens. Are they likely to call the police if they see something illegal? Of course not. They themselves may face some difficult questions. Plus, they will tolerate poor landlords, often from their own community. You don’t hear that much from Starmer do you?

As far as Labour is concerned they already know that they are a one-term party. Their job is simply to invite in as many of the world to come here as our long-term guest and make sure they are comfortable.

This 5million represents a massive question mark over Kemi’s future. She has not created enough waves. If she misses the chance over the millions of outsiders coming here I am sure she will be ousted for Jenrick in no time.

Our country will be undergoing a massive change in the next eight years. Who voted for that? Not you. Not me. How can it happen?
