Has the Home Office not learned!? Smearing Brits as 'far-right' will only lead to fury - Carole Malone
GB News
OPINION: GB News commentator Carole Malone questioned why the Hell is this country, especially this current government, so unwilling to confront Islamic extremism here?
So a leaked report from a bunch of Leftie civil servants looking into the anti-extremist scheme Prevent actually recommends we de-prioritise Islamist extremism and put it on a par with misogyny and violence against women.
Now, while both of those are extremely important and need to be tackled they are nowhere near the threat to this country’s national security that Islamist extremism is.
Did Yvette Cooper purposely choose the biggest bunch of numpties she could find to put together a review about the government’s approach to extremism, because that’s what it’s looking like.
And do the buffoons compiling this review of extremism and Prevent (which can be summed up in one word – Useless) know that Islamism has been responsible for 94% of all terrorist deaths in Britain since 1999. Does it know that it accounts for 80% of the police counter terror caseload, 75% of MI5’s caseload . And that 63% of terrorists in custody ARE Islamists.
Yet despite all that they want de-prioritise it, label it as “ just another threat” when it’s currently THE biggest threat this country faces.
This report - I’d love to know how much it cost - makes terrifying reading. It claims the UK policy on extremism should “no longer be based “on ideologies of concern” ( why the Hell not if those ideologies mean people are being murdered?) but a wide range of behaviours including “spreading misinformation” , “conspiracy theories” , “harmful communications” ( hurty tweets) and involvement in an online subculture called the "manosphere” whatever the Hell that is.
It also wants to trash the last Government’s attempts to slash “non crime hate incidents” and if that happened it would mean vital police time would be wasted with non-crime hate nonsense while the REALLY dangerous people are missed and left to plot their evil terrorist deeds.
Why the Hell is this country, especially this current government, so unwilling to confront Islamic extremism here? Remember when MP David Amess was murdered by a 25-year-old Somali who’d been referred to the useless Prevent years before. MPs talked about it like he’d died of natural causes. London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan even said “he’d passed away”
Carole Malone warned if the Home Office continues there will be no end to the fury from Britons

No, he was brutally slaughtered by an Islamist extremist but no-one was saying it. .
Do the cretins compiling his review really think, that while important, misogyny is a threat to our national security in the way Islamism is?
The Policy Exchange which leaked details of this review called it “Extremely Confused.” I’d say its way more than that - it’s downright dangerous.
Not least because a review which is supposed to underpin a new approach to countering extremism devotes just one page to Islamic extremism - it also devotes one page to “environmental extremism, and one to “conspiracy theories” clearly suggesting they’re equally as dangerous.
On what planet do these deluded people live?
Just to expand on the lunacy – and the danger of this report - it also calls grooming gangs an “alleged problem” . Sorry but there’s nothing bloody “alleged” about it. Scores of men who, for years, systematically raped and tortured women are now in jail. And more are being investigated.
So that’s not an alleged problem. Yet still the review says grooming gangs are a “grievance narrative” that can be exploited to promote anti Muslim sentiment”
Ludicrously the report also says fears of two tier policing are “an extreme right wing narrative.”
No they’re not. Since Keir Starmer came to power two-tier policing is a fact of life on Britain’s streets. We see it played out every day when the police are more heavy-handed, more severe with those on the Right than they are with those on the Left. Hell we saw it writ large in Southport
Yet if Starmer were to implement this inane suggestion it would mean even voicing the opinion that two-tier policing exists would make whoever voiced it an “extremist” who could be prosecuted and jailed.
Andrew Gilligan and Paul Stott of the think tank, Policy Exchange, which leaked this review, said that many of the extremisms it cites “simply do not meet the test of harming national security.”
Too damn right they don’t. Many of the things this report says are extremisms, are about people giving an opinion - but because its not the “right” opinion they could be criminalised for it. Even jailed.
If this Government and the dangerous numpties it has producing its “reviews“ really believe that smearing the people who expressed concerns over the slaughter of three little girls by a scumbag caught up in terror and who watched beheading videos for fun, is Far Right then that must mean most of us in Britain are Far Right.
Having seen the virulent media reaction to this report the Government is now running scared saying none of the 38 recommendations in it have been agreed by ministers so far.
And they’d better not be or there WILL be more riots in the streets.
But I’m wondering what would have happened if the review hadn’t been leaked and so publicly vilified. I’m guessing the Government would have tried to get away with it. We know Starmer’s capable of it.
