In a message to viewers, Michael Portillo outlined why he thinks GB News is so important in 2025.

Former Conservative Cabinet Minister and GB News presenter Michael Portillo has spoken of how the People's Channel is fundamental to preserving freedoms in our country.

In an exclusive video for the GBN community, he said "You will have heard that one of the important things about GB News is that you hear opinions that you won't hear on other channels. And that is certainly true.

"But those opinions are not unchallenged. They are challenged absolutely by people who know what they're talking about."
