I think we can all agree Elon Musk is a busy man. When not inventing rockets that can do the shopping, satellites that can walk the dog and cars that can do the can can, he spends his spare time working out ways of cutting $2trillion (1,000,000,000,000,000,000) from the US government’s annual spend.
That doesn’t leave a lot of time for breakfast or to keep an eye out for a start-up television station across the pond like GB News. But you don’t become the Leonardo da Vinci of his age by not having interest to burn.
GB News hit record viewing figures

And across Musk’s desk came a remarkable piece of information about Nigel Farage’s 7-8pm show on Wednesday night. That night the Farage audience figures were truly stunning, beating both BBC News and Sky News handsomely.
You and I would probably have just thought that’s well done and continued to watch TV. Instead Musk decided to tweet those numbers to his 204.8million followers with the word WOW!
Indeed it is a WOW! moment for GB News. Not only did Farage wipe the floor with his competitors that night GB News beat BBC News and Sky News for the entire 24 hours. And that’s a first.
We are watching a revolution in news coverage. Conventional wisdom has been that news is always is always seen through the centre Left prism - personified in print by the Guardian.
Along comes GB News and says there is an unserved audience. The Left said it wouldn’t work. And they have done their best (as have media buyers) to sabotage the start-up through their handmaidens at Ofcom.
But they’ve failed.
The people have spoken. They love the output. The audience is literally growing every day and I guarantee that within six months it will be the leading TV news station in the country.
Today the sunlit uplands beckons. And when you receive the endorsement of Elon Musk you know you are on the road to success.
