Leeds Crown Court heard how Naseeb was handed a restraining order after he put his neighbour in a headlock and punched him "several times."

Despite the fact he was banned from contacting the man and hitting the wall their properties shared. on June 3, 2024, at around 8.30am, he heard him shouting, "I will lash you, come to the bins motherf*****, I can see you, you p****. I will slit your throat."

Prosecutor Adrian Strong said: "He called the police and he [Naseeb] continued to shout and bang on the walls. A neighbour described him as terrifying the whole street and making their lives a misery for a number of years.

"No action was taken but since then he has continued to repeatedly bang on the walls on a pretty regular basis, around five times a week. On February 22 this year at around 4pm he was banging on the wall and shouting at him [the victim.]"

In a victim impact statement read to the court, the man described himself as a "prisoner in his own home" adding that his daughter is scared to visit him because of Naseeb's actions.

The neighbour said that he has been unable to sleep and he has started suffering from anxiety and depression.

In mitigation, Jade Bucklow said Naseeb is due to start chemotherapy in June for a brain tumour.
