XL Bully dog attacks man on mobility scooter in vicious mauling

An XL Bully dog has mauled a man on a mobility scooter in yet another vicious attack.
The incident unfolded in Birchwood when the man was taking his own dog for a walk.
A dog was said to have approached the man’s pooch and later pounced upon it.
The man was bitten while trying to intervene to save his four-legged friend.

A bystander tried to help and was also attacked.
The XL Bully was retrieved by its owner who took off with it.
Both victims described the hound as an XL Bully type with tall and slim features.
It was also said to have been brown in colour with white patches.

The dangerous breed, which is facing a ban later this year, has been involved in a spate of incidents in 2023.
Cheshire Police is now urging witnesses to come forward following the event from last Tuesday.
PC Victoria Taylor said: “I understand this may cause concern in the community and we are working hard to try and locate the dog and its owner.

"Witnesses also said there were some school children filming the incident.
“I’d urge anyone with footage of the attack to contact me.”
