The state-of-the-art robot, called Lynx, weighs the same as a golden retriever
A new robotic dog capable of walking, climbing and performing backflips across various terrains has been unveiled by Chinese company Deep Robotics.
The state-of-the-art robot, called Lynx, uses an innovative wheel-leg motion system instead of traditional paws to navigate challenging environments from rocks to snow.
Standing just under one metre tall and weighing 30kg - comparable to a Labrador Retriever - the Lynx can reach speeds of up to 11mph.
The robot can climb platforms up to 80cm tall and navigate continuous steps reaching 22cm in height.
