GB News members are being asked whether they think a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine would last

Ukraine has agreed to a US-proposed 30-day ceasefire deal after America promised to resume weapons shipments.

The agreement follows US assurances that it will "immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and resume security assistance to Ukraine".

The ceasefire proposal requires Russian reciprocity.

Ukraine has "expressed readiness to accept the US proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire", according to the joint statement.

It is also "subject to acceptance and concurrent implementation by the Russian Federation".

The deal marks a significant diplomatic development in the ongoing conflict.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking in Saudi Arabia, declared that "Ukraine is ready to start talking and stop shooting".

He added that "the ball is now in Russia's court".

With that in mind, do you think a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine would last? Vote in the poll below and have your say in the comments.
