An elderly man has caused a stir when he was spotted riding an electric wheelchair the wrong way down a busy motorway near Dublin in Ireland.
The pensioner was seen cruising along the N7 at Newlands Cross, on the outskirts of the Irish capital, seemingly unfazed by the chaos he was causing.
Footage shared on social media shows the man moving beside the central reservation, travelling against the flow of traffic.
Despite the potential danger, the elderly rider appeared completely unconcerned, bundled up in a coat, hat, and blanket as he made his way along the busy road.

The footage, which has since gone viral on social media, appears to have been filmed by a stationary vehicle in the left-hand lane.
Initially obscured by heavy traffic, the elderly man soon becomes visible in a gap between cars.
The video shows him riding in the opposite direction inside the white line at the concrete central barrier.
With traffic moving at a crawling pace, the wheelchair-bound pensioner seems to be matching the speed of the vehicles around him.
