Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has criticised the proposed Ukraine-Russia peace deal, saying it "rewards Putin too much" despite US President Donald Trump's push for an agreement.
Farage told GB News that while wars typically end through negotiation, this particular plan is not acceptable.
The comments come as Donald Trump has intensified his criticism of Volodymyr Zelensky after the Ukrainian president rejected a US peace proposal that would recognise Russian control of Crimea.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Zelensky's stance was "very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia".

The US proposal, described as its "final offer", includes American recognition of Crimea as Russian territory and no possibility of Nato membership for Ukraine.
Vice President JD Vance indicated earlier that the plan would "freeze" the conflict along current front lines, calling on both parties to "either say yes or for the US to walk away".

Speaking to GB News, Nigel Farage explained: "Wars end in one of two ways, don't they? Generally, one is one side gets annihilated, surrenders and accepts pretty much whatever they're given.
"Or the other is, you have a negotiated peace settlement.
"You could argue that the civil war in Northern Ireland was ended by both sides making some degree of concessions.
"I don't think this plan really is acceptable because it just rewards Putin too much. I want to see peace, but not at any price."
Trump claimed a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine is "very close" while criticising Zelensky's refusal to recognise Russian control of Crimea.
He wrote: "Nobody is asking Zelensky to recognize Crimea as Russian Territory but, if he wants Crimea, why didn't they fight for it eleven years ago when it was handed over to Russia without a shot being fired?"
The US president described Zelensky as "the man with no cards" who has a duty to secure a deal.

"He can have peace or, he can fight for another three years before losing the whole country," Trump added.
Zelensky has firmly rejected any suggestion of recognising Russian control over Crimea, which was annexed in 2014.
"Ukraine will not legally recognise the occupation of Crimea," Zelensky told the Wall Street Journal. "There's nothing to talk about here. It's against our constitution."
