Two passenger jets have collided at a Japanese airport, just weeks after a deadly crash in the region.
A Korean Air Lines plane scraped into a Cathay Pacific Airways aircraft at New Chitose Airport on the island of Hokkaido today.
There were 298 passengers on the Korean Air Lines plane and none on the Cathay Pacific Airways aircraft.
The accident happened when the Korean Air plane was preparing for take-off at around 5.30pm local time, according to an airport official.
No injuries have been reported so far

The fire department said that the Cathay Pacific aircraft was parked on the tarmac when the Korean Air plane's left wing collided with the right tail wing of the passenger-less flight.
No injuries have been reported so far, Fuji TV has reported.
An airport spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
Snowy conditions are currently battering the region, as more than 46 flights have been cancelled today alone.

The incident comes after a Japan Airlines plane caught on fire after colliding with a Coast Guard plane on the runway of Tokyo's Haneda airport.
No one on board the passenger jet perished, however, five Coast Guard crew members were killed in the blaze.
The Japan Airlines aircraft was carrying more than 300 passengers and the Coast Guard flight had six on board.
Footage captured of the crash showed thick black smoke pouring out of the aircraft.
Videos appear to show passengers running away from the blaze as debris fell onto the tarmac.
Japan's coast guard said their aircraft was on its way to Niigata Airport to deliver aid to the earthquake-hit Noto peninsula.
The fire service was deployed to the scene and could be seen trying to extinguish the flames.
