Israeli officials have repeatedly claimed a link between Hamas and Isis
Israel’s Defence Force (IDF) has confirmed an Isis flag has been found on a Hamas terrorist.
The IDF published a picture showing troops holding the flag, claiming it was found on the vest of a terrorist killed during an assault on Kibbutz Sufa, near the Gaza border.
Phones, keys, ammunition and other supplies can also be seen in the image underneath the flag.
The confirmation comes after footage of a Hamas with the flag began circulating on Telegram.
Israeli officials have repeatedly claimed a link between Hamas and Isis following the initial attack.
At time of writing, it is not confirmed how many people have been taken captive by the terrorists.

Reports yesterday confirmed six missiles were fired over the border from Lebanon, threatening to drag the entire Middle East into the conflict.
Israel is understood to have positioned tanks on the Lebanese border.
Military officials also said shells were launched from Syria, and said its soldiers had retaliated by firing “toward the origin of the launching in Syria”.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries resulting from the Syria shelling.
As many as 360,000 reservists from the IDF are reportedly ready to mobilise after regaining control of its border with Gaza.
“We all rushed to join up,” law student and machinegunner Avi Schwartz, told the Times.
“After two days of training on a base down south and mentally preparing ourselves for going into Gaza, we were told that instead, we were going to replace another battalion near Jenin in the West Bank. But everyone serves in wartime.”
