Hassan Nasrallah leads the terror group backed by Iran

The Hezbollah leader has broken his silence on the Israel-Hamas war to salute pro-Palestine demonstrations in the West.

Hassan Nasrallah leads the terror group backed by Iran that has been skirmishing with Israeli forces along the border with Lebanon.

Despite the ongoing conflict, the faction has held back from declaring a full-scale war on Israel.

The group’s leader has remained silent on the conflict in its opening weeks, but today issued a public address where he made reference to protests taking place in London and afar.

“We must salute all those who took to the street in support and solidarity with the Palestinians, from all over the world”, he said.

Tens of thousands have taken to the streets in cities across the UK calling for a ceasefire in the Hamas-Israel conflict.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

The demonstrations have sparked controversy with reports of jihad chants and derogatory remarks about Jewish people.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman is among those to have condemned the demonstrations, branding them “hateful”.

She and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have called on the police to clampdown on anti-Semitism at the events.

Nasrallah also used the address to praise Hamas, branding their October 7 attack that saw the deaths of around 1,500 Israelis a “glorious jihadi operation”.

He also denied any involvement of Hezbollah in the attack.

“This glorious, blessed large scale operation a hundred per cent Palestinian in terms of decision and execution”, he said.

He claimed the attack exposed the “frailty” of Israel when he spoke on its “repercussions”.

Nasrallah hit out at the country’s supposed inability to “learn from past lessons or experiences” with Palestine or Lebanon and “cannot achieve” its goal of eliminating Hamas.

“Among the gravest mistakes committed by the enemy in the past is setting high goals that they cannot achieve”, he said.

“They set as the top goal to annihilate Hamas, the whole of Hamas.”

He said Israel’s war against Gaza will “end of defeat”, he said, adding the military “will achieve nothing”.

Arab and Muslim states must also work together to end the war, he said.

He added: “Israel is throwing threats to Lebanon and the Lebanese people… Using the bloods of Gazan women and children, by the destructions of mosques and churches in Gaza.”

Upon the conclusion of his speech, celebratory gunshots rang out over Beirus as thousands packed into the square of the Latest capital’s southern suburbs to watch the speech.
