American television host Bill Maher has lashed out at figures on the left aligning with Hamas.
In an explosive rant, Maher accused those siding with Palestine of hypocrisy as he delved deeper into the country’s values.
The comedian questioned why LGBTQ+ people would show solidarity with a country that opposes gay rights.
“It’s amazing to me that the American Left, so much of it, throws itself in with people whose values I hope they don’t share”, he said.

“The Israelis look like us in most ways values wise. Religious tolerance doesn’t exist in Gaza. You’re either Muslim or an infidel, and you better be a Muslim.
Adding to his list of freedoms that “don’t exist” in the enclave, he said: “Female freedom, freedom of fair elections, freedom of speech, gay rights.”

Concurring with the sentiment was foreign affairs reporter James Kirchick, who waded in on LGBTQ+ communities showing solidarity for Gaza.
Discussing the slogan ‘Queers for Palestine’, he sarcastically asked “did you see their sister organisation, blacks for the KKK?”
He added: “I’m a gay man who has lived in Berlin. This is a level of masochism even I cannot comprehend.”
Finishing his list on HBO's Real Time, Maher said: “Paedophilia. I will put that under ‘don’t ask’, child brides and so forth.
“Equality of the sexes. I will categorise that under ‘don’t make me laugh’.
“These people think these are the values you should be supporting?”
It comes as US President Joe Biden showed solidarity for Israel by visiting Tel Aviv, where he backed the country’s stance on a devastating blast at a Gaza hospital.
Biden told Netanyahu that evidence he had seen suggested it was “the other team” at fault for the explosion in Gaza City on Tuesday night, which caused hundreds of casualties.
The Israeli military produced evidence earlier in the day it said showed that the explosion was a result of a misfired rocket by terror group Hamas.
After meetings with Netanyahu, Biden is set to return directly to Washington.
The Gaza health ministry, run by Hamas, blamed the strike on Israeli, with a ministry spokesperson saying it had killed 471 people.
The Israeli Defence Forces have distanced themselves from the incident, producing evidence on Wednesday morning which it said showed there was no crater at the hospital.
