Despite easing restrictions, Tate has not been able to reclaim his seized assets

Andrew Tate has been given a small reprieve as a court has eased travel restrictions imposed on the controversial influencer.

Tate, 36, has been unable to travel outside of Bucharest, Romania without a judge’s approval since August.

However, a court has now eased restrictions which will allow him to travel anywhere in Romania.

The former professional kickboxer and businessman faces charges of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

Women claim Tate exploited them to earn money for his webcam business while others say they were tricked with promises of love and marriage before being sexually controlled.

Both Andrew and his brother Tristan Tate, deny all claims against them.

Speaking outside the court on Tuesday, Tate told journalists that “things are moving in the correct direction”.

“There's not a single video of an abused girl or one single statement against us,” he said.

During the hearing, Tate asked the judge whether he could reclaim his seized assets.

Taken back in January, his confiscated property which includes luxury cars, designer watches and cash, was estimated to be worth £3.12million.

The money could be used as compensation for his alleged victims should allegations against him be proven.

“They took a lot of stuff... 15 cars, and they took a lot of things of a lot of value,” Tate said.

“It'd be nice to get my things back.”

However, the Romanian court said they would put off a discussion on reclaiming his assets until early November.

The latest court ruling comes after the Tate brothers waded into allegations made against actor and comedian Russell Brand.

Brand, 48, who denies all allegations against him, was accused of sexual assault and rape by a number of women over a seven-year period.

Tristan Tate took to social media to say he “did not believe one word of it [the allegations]”.

His brother Andrew also shared his views on social media, but rather than writing new words, the influencer re-shared a post claiming Brand was getting the “Andrew Tate treatment”.
