Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have left the US for Romania to “prove” their “innocence” in court.

Speaking to reporters outside their Bucharest home, the pair said they had returned because "innocent men don't run from anything".


Andrew Tate said: "We've come here to prove our innocence because we deserve our day in court."

Writing on X to his over 10 million followers, Andrew Tate claimed he spent $185,000 on a private jet to “sign one single piece of paper in Romania”.

The online influencers arrived in America at the end of February after Romanian authorities lifted their two-year travel ban.

They told the press they were “never going to leave” Romania as they loved it there, but said they may take holidays.

Andrew Tate is a self-proclaimed “misogynist” who has been banned from various platforms due to his views.

He and his 36-year-old brother Tristan have been accused of human trafficking and forming a group to sexually exploit women in Romania.

The older brother is also accused of rape. They have consistently denied the allegations against them.

The pair also face legal action in the UK, where the are being investigated for allegations of rape and human trafficking.

They have also been accused of tax evasion in Britain.

In addition, in the US they face a civil case from a woman who alleges the pair coerced her into sex work and then defamed her after she gave evidence to Romanian police. They have also denied these allegations.

The brothers’ return to Romania comes as Andrew Tate’s alleged victims said they were “extremely concerned” by reports that US officials had petitioned for his travel restrictions to be relaxed.

The pair have a large following in the US and are popular amongst some right wing figures.

However, US President Donald Trump has said he knew nothing about the Tate’s being released from Romania.
