Emergency services worked to recover the victim the morning after a blaze broke out in Worksop at 7.39pm on Saturday April 12.
Leading the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow said: "Our thoughts remain with David’s loved ones at this extremely difficult time.

Bassetlaw District Council's chief executive David Armiger said yesterday: "There are three properties which were severely damaged and I think it's likely that three will have to be removed. Other properties do have quite significant damage, but it looks like it is something repairable."
He explained that the difficulty stemmed from having to carry out the demolition "in a controlled way" which "could take days in this instance".
A total of 35 properties were evacuated while the council continues to organise accommodation for those who cannot return to the site yet.
As of Monday, residents were not able to return to eight properties, while others elected to not return to other houses along the street.
