Shawn Seesahai died in Wolverhampton

Two 12-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the murder of a teenager.

Shawn Seesahai, 19, was stabbed in open land off Laburnum Road, East Park in Wolverhampton.


The boys, who cannot be named, were arrested at their home addresses.

The arrests took place just before 8.30pm on Monday, November 13.

The boys were arrested by officers on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.

West Midlands Police have confirmed they will be stepping up community patrols in the area.

A spokesperson from the force said: "We have increased dedicated patrols in the area as we understand this incident will have caused deep concern in the local community."

Officers involved in the case said they are still encouraging anyone with information to come forward.

DCI Dave Sanders, from the homicide team, said: "Our thoughts remain with Shawn's family, who have been fully updated with this latest development.

“Our investigation is moving at pace and we continue to encourage anyone with information to contact us.

Roads near the scene were closed off as forensic experts carried out examinations.

Specialist officers are with Shawn's family and providing support to the community.

Officers are looking anybody driving nearby between about 6pm and 10pm to get in contact on November 13.
