The campaign kickoff took place in Buckinghamshire
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch launched the party's local election campaign today with a pledge of lower taxes and improved services from Tory councils.
The campaign kickoff took place in Buckinghamshire where Badenoch made her case to voters ahead of the May 1 polls.
Badenoch acknowledged that the Conservative Party is expected to lose council seats in the upcoming elections.
She noted that many of these seats were won during the peak of Tory popularity in 2021.
In her speech, Badenoch took aim at Nigel Farage's Reform UK, warning that its politicians "have never run anything."
