First Minister of Wales Eluned Morgan has defended the government's efforts to protect citizens from flooding, as Storm Bert has left hundreds of homes destroyed by the extreme weather conditions.
When pressed by GB News reporter Adam Cherry on whether she believes local authorities have done enough to warn residents, Morgan claimed: "I understand why they'd be frustrated, and obviously it's devastating for them.
"But since Storm Dennis, we as the Welsh Government and the local authority have put millions into trying to protect properties in in this area.
"And this time, although in some areas the river levels were higher than last time, we've protected last time about 2000 places were flooded. This time it's about 200. So that defence has worked for huge numbers of people."
