Eight people were arrested after machete fight in Southend-on-Sea

Director of the Law and Order Foundation, Norman Brennan has urged the government to implement an instant jail sentence for anybody carrying a knife.

His comments struck a nerve with GB News host Martin Daubney and he said: "You're talking so much common sense it's making me quite emotional."

This comes after eight people were arrested after a machete fight in Southend-on-Sea last night and three children died in an attack in Southport.
