A former council worker who was sacked over his email signature has received help from GB News viewers after he shared his story on the channel.
Jim Orwin found himself slapped with a £12k legal bill after he lost his job in August 2022 due to the fact that he refused to remove "XY chromosome Guy/Adult Human Male" from his email signature.
After taking this to court, the judge awarded costs after finding Orwin pursued the claim solely because he objected to gender self-identification.
Speaking to Michelle Dewberry yesterday Jim shared: " "I was nearing the end of my career. So I'm 67 now, and I'm quite embarrassed to say, I don't know what I would have done if was 35 with a mortgage and a family to support.
"So I think it's crucial that this is highlighted, people are scared stiff."
After his appearance, the GoFundMe page that was set up by Orwin to help cover his legal costs surged in donations with the target being met in a matter of minutes.
The total stands at £14.530 at the time of writing.
