WATCH: Donald Trump weighs in on peace talks between Ukraine and Russia

"A large power plant" will be involved discussions between the US and Russia, President Donald Trump has said.

The meeting comes as Trump demands that European countries spend more on their own security, including the ongoing costs of supporting Ukraine in the war against Russia.

The US president also added that his special envoy Steve Witkoff is in serious discussions with Russia about ending the war.

“Hopefully they’ll do the right thing,” Trump told reporters during an Oval Office meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.
