WATCH: Londoners celebrate Diwali on the Square event in Trafalgar Square

Huge crowds descended on central London for the annual Diwali on the Square event in Trafalgar Square, lead by Mayor Sadiq Khan.

The free festival featured an extravagant opening ceremony, followed by an afternoon of dance workshops, yoga and meditation, comedy from Soho Theatre, and sari and turban tying.
