Some voters were less keen on the prospect of another Trump presidential term.
“He’s had all these legal things and he was the right choice for 2016”, another American said.
“But for now, we need to have fresh blood.”
More than half of Iowa voters backed Trump with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis finishing a distant second.
Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley was pushed into third as Trump called on voters to “not waste time” focusing on the other Republican candidates.
"We really gotta get back on to Biden and beating the Democrats, and not wasting a lot of time with these two," Trump said of Haley and DeSantis to a crowd of supporters in Atkinson, New Hampshire.
With a series of convincing early primary wins, Trump feels his rivals will be forced out of the process.
Trump continues to refuses to debate his rivals, while Haley said on Tuesday that she would skip any future party debates unless Trump attends.
DeSantis, on the other hand, has vowed to take the debate stage alone in New Hampshire if necessary.
Shortly after enjoying success in Iowa, Trump turned his attention to New Hampshire, where he is expecting a closer contest.
