A trans registered sex offender has been arrested after trying to kidnap a child playing outside a primary school.
Solomon Galligan, 33, was arrested after approaching a field where kids were playing at Black Forest Hills Elementary School in Aurora last Friday afternoon.
Surveillance video captured Galligan approaching the students.
Pupils were heard screaming “stranger danger” before Galligan allegedly grabbed hold of a child.

The 33-year-old lost their grip when he tripped on a white blanket he had been carrying.
The child later told police that Galligan had white powder smeared on his face and smelled of alcohol.
Officers tracked down Galligan where he was later arrested and charged with one count of attempted kidnapping.

The suspect, who is identified as male in the arrest affidavit, shared news of his transition on Facebook back in 2011.
He wrote: “So I'm starting my hormone shots and I really cant wait im on my hormone pills I've been on them for almost four months I wake up all depressed and crying but in the end its gonna be totally worth it you know what I mean I’m really excited my measurements are already changing and I'm super thrilled.”
Galligan was put on the sex offender registry.

The 33-year-old was convicted that same year of non-consent sexual contact.
However, the details of the incident in 2011 were not made immediately clear.
Galligan is being held on $25,000 bail at Aurora jail and is set to face court on Thursday.
