Carl Higbie believes too much funding is put into 'woke' messaging

American political activist and former Navy Seal Carl Higbie has lamented the current state of the US military.

Speaking on GBN America, he believes too much effort is put into funding “woke” initiatives as opposed to preparing for conflict.

He made the comments with regard to Pride Month, which the US Navy Seals has marked with a post on Facebook.

“It’s absolutely insane”, he blasted during his interview with Patrick Christys.

“Nobody cares who you sleep with. Nobody cares what you do with your free time. But what we care about is, can you deliver bullets into bad guys?

“When you start putting Pride Month flags up or make people feel certain ways for not accepting them, you start degrading the value of service. You start degrading the efficacy of service.”

He continued by highlighting the heightened tensions around the world as the Ukraine-Russia war continues to wage on.

The Newsmax host is concerned that US forces are not in a position to become embroiled in conflict were they to be called into action.

“Thanks to the great Biden administration, we are not prepared to go to war”, he said.

“We are not the same fighting force we were even ten years ago, we’re just not the same group.

“I think the priorities have been lost on lots of things.”

The official Facebook page for the US Navy Seals and Naval Special Warfare Command was widely mocked for marking the start of Pride month.

The special warfare account took steps to limit the accounts that can comment on their post, suggesting administrators were expecting a backlash.

The monthly celebration is dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community and began after the Stonewall riots in 1969.
