A Democrat Mayor has been left begging Joe Biden for more help to cover the extortionate cost of illegal immigration.
Eric Adams earlier this week appealed to Washington to foot roughly half the tab for the Big Apple’s crisis bill.
The 63-year-old appeared in Albany to lobby for additional funds.
He reportedly called for a total allocation of $4.6billion through 2025.

Adams said: “I think there's a realisation that New York City and New York state is going to have to address this issue and we’re saying it should not be all on the backs of New York City residents.
“It has put the city in a precarious situation. Today we are asking the state to increase its commitment to 50 per cent of our cost.”
At least 170,000 illegal migrants have arrived in New York since the spring of 2022.
New York state has already vowed to contribute about $2.4billion for fiscal year 2025 toward the migrant crisis.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTSAdams told lawmakers that the state pledge would only cover one-third of the city’s costs.
The $2.4billion (£1.9billion) is in addition to the $1.9billion (£1.51billion) already allocated by the state in fiscal year 2024.
Approximately $1.3billion (£1.03billion) out of the $2.4billion pot is paying for large-scale migrant tens shelters in Queens, Randall’s Island and Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field, New York Governor Kathy Hochul has confirmed.
However, Adams has also come under fire in recent days from Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

He said: “It sounds like insanity is behind it because it really is offensive, it may be the most reprehensible thing that I’ve seen take place over the past 48 hours.”
Abbott added: “What’s going on in New York is outrageous and Americans across the country are angry, not just about what’s going on in New York, but the underlying cause for it, which is Joe Biden’s open border policies.”
The Texas Governor has sent busloads of migrants to the Big Apple over the past year.
Migrants housed at the Roosevelt Hotel will start to receive prepaid credit cards from the city to help them buy food.
The scheme is being run by the New Jersey food company Mobility Capital Finance.
