Joe Biden has “significant mental issues” and will not be the Democrat candidate for this year’s Presidential election, according to Ben Carson.
The former US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development joined Nigel Farage on GBN America to deliver his assessment of how the election is set to stack up.
Carson, a staunch Trump ally, says Joe Biden’s age is not his problem but it is in fact more down to him “not seeming to know where he is”.
“He has a difficult time finishing sentences or remembering what he started talking about”, said Carson.

“Those are signs of significant mental issues. The reason he won’t take an examination and make the results known is because they all know that this is problematic.
“Is it even credible that we go to the Democrat convention and he comes out anointed as the candidate?

“They’re even starting to talk about this in inner Democrat circles.
“I just hope we reach a point as a country where we say the interest of the people and the country is greater than the interest of a party.
“If that were the case, he would never have been president in the first place.”
Nigel Farage waded in to add that Trump would “like” Biden to be the candidate for the Democrats, suggesting the Republican frontrunner for the nomination believes he has a better chance against the 81-year-old.
“I can’t see him being the candidate”, he added.
Joe Biden has jokingly addressed age concerns and ally Gavin Newsom on Sunday pushed back on concerns over his age.
He argued that the experience afforded to Biden are among the top reasons why he should be elected to a second term.
He said on NBC: “I’ve seen him up close, I’ve seen him from afar, but here’s my point: It’s because of his age that he’s been so successful.”
He pointed to the legislation signed by Biden in recent times, including bills that were passed with the support of Republicans.
“So the opportunity to express that for four more years, what a gift it is for the American people”, he said.
“And as a Democrat, what a gift it is for me to make the case for the leader of our party, Joe Biden.”
