CNN “can’t be trusted” to host a non-biased presidential debate, according to political commentator Tim Young.
The comedian joined Nana Akua on GBN America to look ahead to tonight’s showdown between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, which CNN will host.
The encounter will be moderated by two of the network’s anchors, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
“It’s going to be total bias garbage”, fumed Young.

“I think most in America know how they will vote already. I don’t think there will be much difference.
“People who are sheep are going to lap whatever CNN produces here.”

While Young believes the hosts will be overwhelmingly in favour of Biden, he added that Donald Trump can have little cause for complaint due to the fact that he agreed to the conditions.
Asked if the conditions are reasonable, he said: “They aren’t, and Trump knows what he is walking into, Trump also agreed to it.
“He said any place and any time, I give him credit for being honest and sticking to his guns.
“But we can’t trust CNN. His spokesperson was on CNN last week bringing up Jake Tapper’s Hitler comments and when she said people should Google it, they cut her off.

“This network where they could at least put on a better show and at least look unbiased, they aren’t even pretending.”
The debate takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, a key swing state which Biden won in 2020 by less than 12,000 votes.
November’s vote promises to be a tantalising affair with polls continuing to paint a mixed picture.
Tonight’s debate provides both candidates a vital opportunity to break the deadlock by landing a blow to their opponent.

It is the earliest in any US presidential campaign that a debate between the two main candidates has ever been staged, with four months to go until the election.
Some see the timing as premature, but it could be a welcome distraction for both candidates.
While Trump has been mired in legal travails, Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, became the first child of a sitting US president to be criminally convicted when he was found guilty two weeks ago of lying about his drug use when he bought a gun in 2018.
