The activities across all occur during working hours through June

A US intelligence agency is celebrating Pride Month by giving its workers free manicures and hosting workshops where staff can learn to crochet their own LGBTQ+ flags.

Multiple different activities will be held throughout Pride Month by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), all occurring during working hours.

The agency oversees the United States Intelligence Community, which includes the CIA, FBI, and NSA, and has intelligence components in each branch of the military.

An activity that occurred on June 4 invited staff to paint their nails and also participate in a crochet flag-making workshop. The document, obtained by The Daily Wire, also mentions the “FVEY Liaison Offices,” who will be present during the events. The FVEY officers are in reference to the Five Eyes Intelligence Alliance which includes the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

The document reads: “For nail painting, we’ll have our pro team of FVEY artists ready to decorate you ready for Pride Month, with the option of celebrating pride or trans flag colours.

“If you don’t normally paint your nails, or have never done so, all the better! We’ll do everything for you, and you might just love it. What better way to show your allyship to the community?”

“For crochet, we’ll have some experienced FVEY crocheters teaching you how to make Pride flags. Suitable for all abilities, even if you’ve never picked up a crochet hook! If you have your own crochet gear or want to come along and help teach the craft, that will be fantastic too.”

Another event hosted by the ODNI is the Pride Ally Challenge, where staff can participate in up to 20 daily activities, all about 10 minutes in length.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

The description for the event reads: “The challenge will take you on a guided journey to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community and empower you to become a better ally.”

Congressman Mike Waltz said the event was another example of President Joe Biden wasting time and resources.

“It just shows where this administration’s priorities continue to be, which is a virtue signal to the progressive Left, rather than staying focused on lethality, effective intelligence collection, and keeping America safe,” he told the publication.

The highly decorated US Army veteran, who fought in the Green Berets, confirmed the authenticity of the document.

He added: “It’s just a total misplacement of priorities, and it comes from the top, and it comes from highly politicised political appointees, by political appointees that are pushing an agenda.”

Another event which took place on the same day of the nail painting was a talk from guest speaker AC Dumlao, who is described as a “transgender non-binary first-generation Filipinx-American activist and educator”.

Dumlao, who specialises in advising workplaces on how to be more inclusive towards transgender and non-binary individuals, will lead “a discussion focused on transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse identities”.

Waltz said the Biden administration needs to focus instead on keeping America safe through effective intelligence collection.

“How about we get some meat eaters that are worried about putting bullets or bombs on the foreheads of bad guys? Collecting intelligence, filling gaps, spying, conducting covert activities to keep America safe,” Waltz concluded.
