US Vice President Kamala Harris has commented on the Israel-Hamas conflict with the ‘harshest comments’ made by a US official on the matter so far, according to Israeli journalist Jotam Confino.
Speaking on GB News, Confino commented on the “interesting timing”, saying it has come at a point where the Biden administration comes under severe pressure for its stance on the conflict.
“I don’t think she is saying anything that isn’t true”, he said.
“The timing is interesting though. The Biden administration is getting more and more criticism for not doing more to stop the war and continuing to support Israel.
“I’m sure some domestic politics had something to do with her comments.
“Nevertheless, Israel is feeling the pressure. Not just from the US, but also the international system.”
