GB News understands that Democrats are seeing ‘increasing signs of weakness’ in Biden
Joe Biden could be asked to leave the 2024 presidential race by his own party as Democrats see the president as “peculiarly weak”, a US political expert has claimed.
Recent polls have shown Biden trailing behind his main rival Donald Trump in several key political areas.
According to a Suffolk University poll of 1,000 Americans, voters are more likely to trust Trump than Biden in matters of the economy, immigration and foreign policy by 11, nine and six percentage points respectively.
More recent polls suggest Biden could lose to Trump in five out of six of the swing states, deemed key for winning the US presidency.
Speaking to GB News following the recent US state elections which saw the Democrats take or maintain the lead in several key states, American political journalist John Fund warned the blue party could try to nudge Biden out of the race.
“The polls show Biden doing particularly poorly this week, losing five out of six of the swing states to Trump,” Fund said.
“Of course polls can change and of course Donald Trump, as you've probably heard, has some legal problems.
“Things can change but Democrats see Joe Biden as peculiarly weak, and he shows increasing signs of weakness and halting delivery of remarks when he makes appearances in public.

Reuters“I think the Democrats are going to find a way, one way or the other, through gentle or harsh persuasion, to try to convince Joe Biden to leave.
“In fact the joke in Washington is Democrats are so desperate to get rid of Biden they may even start agreeing with the Republicans on Hunter Biden being a legitimate issue.”
The comments come in the wake of several successes for the Democrat party, after they won several key state elections yesterday.
Voters cast ballots to choose governors in Kentucky and Mississippi, decide legislative control in Virginia and New Jersey, and determine whether the Ohio state constitution should protect abortion rights.

Polling indicates that the President remains deeply unpopular among large swathes of the country, with concerns among Democrats that the 80-year-old is hindering his party's chances of success in 2024.
Speaking on the result of the state elections, Fund said: “The Democrats can be mildly encouraged by the results and the Republicans can be mildly discouraged.
“A lot of the Republican reversals will be ascribed to the abortion issue. I think that did play a role, but it's probably exaggerated.
“What I think was more important was the superior Democratic financial and get out the vote effort.
“And it turns out that a lot of these elections revolved around local issues, not President Biden's popularity.”
