"Joe Biden does have a problem with Britain", Lee Cohen has claimed.
The ex-Great Britain adviser to the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee discussed the President of the United States' "beef" with England.
Responding to Mark Dolan on GBNews, Cohen said: "I believe that Joe Biden does have a problem with Britain. Firstly this follows his whole time in office where Joe Biden has an identity that's driven by his Irish heritage.
"But the only problem is that his idea of Irish heritage is full of outdated mythology that there are a lot of Irish grudges against the UK.

"People just don't feel that way anymore. Joe Biden being 81 years old, perhaps it's a holdover from that time.
"He's always been willing to meet with the Irish Republicans and championed their cause during the Brexit times.
"He was even threatening the UK saying if they didn't do anything with the Northern Ireland protocol it would jeopardize the Good Friday agreements.
"What American president would choose the Republic of Ireland and continental European interests over our greatest ally, our strongest ally, our ally on the battlefield, our greatest trading partner, the United Kingdom?

"It's mystifying. So to answer your question, yes. I believe that Joe Biden is no friend of the United Kingdom."
Dolan then pointed out that this "seems to be a problem with the Democratic Party culturally because Barack Obama, during the run-up to the Brexit referendum said that Britain would be at the back of the queue for a trade deal."
Cohen said: "What an insult. I know it's symbolic. But for both Obama and Biden, the first thing that they did upon assuming office, was move a statue of Winston Churchill.
"The greatest wartime leader of the last, perhaps any century. And a great Anglo-American with his mother having been American.
"Trump reinstalled it, among the first things he did upon becoming president."
Joe Biden has been slammed as "anti-British" in the past after a trade deal with the United Kingdom has been dropped ahead of the 2024 election.
UK Ministers have given up on signing a trade agreement with the US before the next election.
This was after the Biden administration 'snubbed' it and signalled it had no interest in agreeing one.
