Free Palestine protesters clashing with members of the LGBTQ+ community at Pride marches shows the Middle East conflict has “brought out the crazies”, according to a US reporter.

Footage emerged from Philadelphia this week of Pride marchers in colourful outfits being disrupted by a group of pro-Palestinian members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Speaking on GBN America, Neil McCabe said LGBTQ+ groups favouring Palestine is lunacy due to the country’s regressive laws.

“It’s a nice couple, I give it about six months”, he said.

“The people of Philadelphia have to be wondering what just descended upon them.

“This is a place where they toss homosexuals off the rooftops of buildings. I’m confused people haven’t figured this out already.

“The war in Gaza has brought out a lot of the crazies in the US. It has forced people to come to grips with whether they support Israel or not.

“People are getting tired of Pride Month too. People are getting exhausted.”

Reports suggest the disrupted parade in the US city saw protesters chant “the more you try to silence us, the louder we will be”.

Queer pro-Palestinians are often questioned over their ardent support for a culture who reject their ways of life.

LGBTQ+ people and sexual activity between men is criminalised in Gaza.

The logic of LGBTQ+ support for the Palestinian cause is therefore often thrown into question.

Pride Month kicked off in New York with an Israel Parade.

Extra security was provided for the march up Fifth Avenue due to fears of clashes between pro-Israel and pro-Palestine demonstrators.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams has been unwavering in his support for Israel since the outbreak of war with Hamas on October 7.

Attending the parade, he said: “Our message is extremely clear. Destroy Hamas, bring home the hostages. Let’s bring peace, so we don’t lose the lives of innocent people.”
