A Hawaii woman who disappeared at Los Angeles International Airport last month has been found safe after contacting her family.
Hannah Kobayashi reached out to her relatives on Wednesday to confirm she was fine, following weeks of desperate searching that ended in tragedy.
The woman had vanished on November 8 whilst travelling from Hawaii to New York City for what was described as a 'bucket list' trip sparking a frantic search effort.
Her father had flown to Los Angeles to assist in the search efforts after her disappearance at LAX.
He took his own life during the search for his missing daughter.
The trip had been planned as a special 'bucket list' journey before her unexpected disappearance during a layover at Los Angeles International Airport.
Earlier this month, investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department reported that Kobayashi had voluntarily crossed into Mexico.
In a statement shared with media outlets, the family expressed their profound relief at the development.

They also extended their gratitude to supporters, adding: "We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during this difficult time.
"Your kindness and concern have meant the world to us."
