Donald Trump needs to “lead the Western world now”, according to broadcaster Mike Parry.
The former US president moved a step closer to regaining power last night by winning the New Hampshire primary.
The remarks came during a GB News debate about the prospect of a second term for Trump, with former Labour MP arguing it “worries the hell” out of him.
“He sews the seeds of chaos”, Pound claimed. “We import more energy from the United States now than we do from the Gulf states.
“The economy is doing very well. It doesn’t matter who is in Capitol Hill, America has a dynamism of its own.
“What really worries me about Trump is he is the most divisive politician on the world stage today other than maybe Kim Jong-un.”
Parry disagreed with the argument, arguing Trump is needed to quell simmering tensions around the world.
“I think that the world is under enormous threat, there are divisions in the world at the moment”, he said.
“Donald Trump needs to lead the Western world now, he is so decisive and has a plan.
“People forget the most dangerous country in the world last time with Trump was North Korea. He neutralised the threat of a Third World War.
“I don’t believe Putin would have gone into Ukraine the way he did if Trump were there.”
