Donald Trump divulged into a story about aliens during an interview as he recounted an encounter with air force pilots in the Oval Office.
During an interview on Wednesday, the former US president shared a conversation he had with experienced pilots and their interaction with an unknown "round object".
The 78-year-old told Fox News said that he did not think he was a "believer" of aliens but was interested in hearing from the pilots who said "they’ve seen things they cannot explain".
The Republican presidential candidate explained that the credibility of the story comes from "three or four" pilots that were in his oval office, who "are not people who make up stories".
Trump said "the blond crew-cut" pilots told him about a "round object that was going four times faster" than their F-22 planes - "a very fast plane", the ex-president said.
After discussing a possible life beyond Earth, Trump said: "Am I a believer? No, I probably can't say I am.
"But I have met with people that are serious people that say there’s some really strange things that they see flying around out there."
Following the interview, radio and TV host, Dana Loesch put together Trump's Fox chat with a clip of herself recalling an encounter of her own with former CIA director, Mike Pompeo.

Loesch said she asked Pompeo about alleged aliens, but he immediately deflected.
The TV host said: "That’s the way to tell me there are aliens, if you can’t [directly] tell me that there are aliens.
"That’s what someone who knows there are aliens but can’t tell me about the aliens would say."
She posted her edited clip social media, which was overwhelmed with comments.

Another wrote: "At this point I would trust the aliens more than our current government."
Trump stated that during his presidency, he dedicated considerable time investigating the phenomenon and does not believe that government agencies are withholding information from the public.
